MYTH LAMP is a massive, brutalist ceramic sculpture, embodying the earth’s dream of enduring monumentalism and defying fragility. More an architectural form than a design object, Myth Lamp represents a contemporary manifestation of monumental ceramics, transcending the functionality of a utilitarian object to become a meditation on temporality and brutalism. The unglazed white, both a color and chromatic absence, imparts a pure, analytical, and peaceful tone to the work, evoking a sense of timelessness. Unglazed ceramics emphasize line and volume, while textures create a visual ambivalence between matter and space.
